Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual female (the white admiral; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The genome sequence is 435 megabases in span. Most of the assembly (99.97%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, corresponding to 29 autosomes plus the W and Z sex chromosomes. The complete mitochondrial genome was also assembled and is 15.2 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 12,489 protein coding genes.
