Abstract
Two diabetes-related papers are featured in this issue of . Gardner et al. focus on type 2 diabetes through exome sequencing, and Benaglio et al. employ a functional genomics approach to advance understanding in type 1 diabetes. In this preview, Jose Florez highlights their contribution toward clinical translation of genomics discoveries.
