Abstract

Syphilis is an old disease with modern health challenges for clinicians. This article discusses the various clinical manifestations and stages of syphilis, reviews interpretation of the reactive syphilis serology, and summarizes syphilis treatment recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control 1993 sexually transmitted diseases treatment guidelines.
