Abstract

Findings from a research project on the effectiveness of dance movement with psychiatric clients are reported in this article. The author discusses how dance movement therapy (DMT) improves the emotional, psychological, and physical well-being of psychiatric clients. She then discusses the ways in which expressive and communicative behaviors were used as nursing interventions to facilitate higher levels of wellness.
