Central Nervous System Aspergillosis Following Steroidal Therapy for Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis
Overview
Affiliations
A 52-year-old man with probable allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) was treated with adrenal corticosteroids. He subsequently developed central nervous system aspergillosis that was treated successfully with surgery and amphotericin B. Invasive aspergillosis is a rare complication following steroid therapy for ABPA.
