Introduction: Infections following closed fractures in immunocompetent adults are rare but can have significant consequences if not promptly diagnosed.

Clinical Discussion: Because it rarely happens infected closed fractures are difficult to diagnose prior to surgery and treatment is controversial, most authors propose priority should be getting the fracture to unite then treatment of infection.
Conclusion: This report adds to the existing literature on infections following closed fractures and highlights the importance of considering infection in closed fractures and tailoring management strategies to individual patient factors.
