Abstract
Congenital syphilis, caused by the Gram-negative obligate bacterium , can manifest as early- or late-onset infection, typically exhibiting classic symptoms such as a maculopapular rash, failure to thrive, and hepatosplenomegaly. This case report presents rare clinical manifestations of congenital syphilis not typically observed during early onset infection in a newborn in Bahrain. Additionally, it details the physical findings and investigations conducted to diagnose the disease.
