Abstract

•Argulosis, a disease caused by spp. of ectoparasites in scaly fish, is a global concern for aquaculture industry.•The resistance of the parasite to anti-parasitic drugs and the quantum of loss has been felt world-wide.•The current scenario of management and the development in vaccination are discussed herewith.
