Abstract

Platelets are anucleate but contain a rich repertoire of mRNAs. In this issue of , Shen and colleagues present platelet transcriptomes from patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms to study disease mechanisms and generate a predictive algorithm for fibrotic progression.
