Abstract

Intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) may be useful to deliver Impella devices in patients with peripheral arterial disease. Twelve patients were treated with peripheral IVL prior to Impella insertion. A total of 100% of patients underwent successful device implantation with no IVL complications. IVL can facilitate transfemoral access for Impella insertion. ().
