Abstract

Strains of rinderpest virus (RV) with high and low virulence were compared with cell culture-attenuated RV for antigenic differences. Sera collected from rabbits 1 week after inoculation with live virus distinguished between homologous and heterologous strains by kinetic neutralisation and competition ELISA.
