Abstract

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS) is considered as an ideal substrate for hybridizing with functional groups, to form MoS-based nanocomposites. Such nanocomposites possess charming properties due to synergistic effects, greatly broadening the applications of MoS and its derivatives. In this review, we focus on the advances of noble metal nanostructure-decorated MoS (MoS-NMNs) nanocomposites. First, we summarize the synthesis methods for preparation of MoS-NMNs nanocomposites. Then, the applications of MoS-NMNs nanocomposites are reviewed. Finally, we discuss the prospects and challenges of MoS-NMNs nanocomposites for the future.
