Abstract
Enteric fever is a common cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and more so in a developing country like India. Worldwide, the incidence of multidrug Salmonella typhi is increasing alarmingly. Similarly, a multiplicity of factors affects the in vivo susceptibility of a microorganism. We report a case of multidrug resistant complicated enteric fever with resistance to ceftriaxone and azithromycin.
