Standard Operating Procedure for the Collection and Preparation of Voucher Plant Specimens for Use in the Nutraceutical Industry

A vital part of the development of any standardized protocol for the extraction of plant-derived crude extracts to be used in herbal medicine or nutritional supplementation is proper documentation of the original botanical source of the extract via acquisition of a voucher specimen.
