Abstract

The increasing complexity of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography procedures has resulted in an ever-widening array of accessories to provide the endoscopist with the necessary equipment to diagnose and treat biliary and pancreatic disorders effectively. The need to organize this volume of accessories efficiently has become a primary concern for gastrointestinal laboratories. GI nurses can work together with physicians to design an organizational system to meet these increasing demands, while at the same time addressing quality assurance and supply inventory.
