The Developmental Relationship Between NK Cells and T Cells

Abstract

NK cells and T cells share many features, suggesting that they have a common origin. Here, Lewis Lanier and colleagues describe recent studies of fetal ontogeny and thymic development that provide support for this hypothesis, and propose an integrated scheme for NK-cell and T-cell development.
