Abstract

Pulmonary granulomas of sarcoid type in a patient who was on long-term immunosuppressive therapy following renal transplantation are described. Pneumocystis carinii was identified within the lesions. This is believed to be the first description of this type of reaction to Pneumocystis in the adult patient on immunosuppressive therapy.
